The Fight for #TYPENONE

All In One Betes Bash is the creation of Mark Kingshott, a 40 year fighter of Type 1 Diabetes. Diagnosed in Holland Michigan in 1978, the road to successful treatment has been long and difficult, but not impossible. One of the main reasons for his tight control of this disease is due to the funding that has paved the way to new breakthroughs in treating Diabetes. All In One Betes Bash is raising money to ensure the further advancement on the control of and eventual cure of Type 1 Diabetes.  Join us on September 15, 2018 as we continue to battle this disease!

ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS

Currently, Type 1 Diabetes affects 1.75 million people or 9.4% of the population (diabetes.org). By the year 2050, projections state that 5 million people will have Diabetes (jdrf.org). Between the years 2001 to 2009, there was a 21 percent increase in people with Type 1 Diabetes aged less than 20.3 years(JDRF.org). This auto immune disease attacks a healthy insulin producing pancreas and renders it useless. When the pancreas stops producing the hormone, Insulin, the body has no way of moving glucose (sugar) out of the body. The only treatments are insulin and blood glucose testing.
